Well, the year has flown by. I don't really know what happened to it! I would like to take a few minutes though to reflect on this past year. In January of this year, we lost a member of our family. In a way, it was a good loss and made our family grow much closer. We are blessed to have each other and we look forward to many more great memories together in 2009. This year, the world witnessed a record breaking drop in the economy. We are thankful that we have our jobs and had the strength to just "ride it out". (As much as we were tempted by the amazing prices in homes!) We were also blessed to see family members from the East Coast that we normally don't see very often.
We are excited for 2009 and the hope that it brings for our future. This year we plan to accomplish 1 full time semester (or more) of college for Isaac in his journey to become a Paramedic Certified Fireman. We plan to relieve ourselves of a car loan that we have, and to drop our rent by half. ( That's right, HALF) Either by roommates, or moving to a place a little less convenient. We know that in order to take great steps forward, sometimes you have to take a few back. (Unless your blessed with Luck. We're Irish......so it's out for us hahaha)
I pray that you all have a prosperous and healthy 2009!!!

Christmas
We didn't get many pictures of Christmas this year. It was sweet and simple. We opened a few presents at our house in the morning, went to Mom and Dad's and opened more presents, then went to my Grandma's house to open more presents, visit with my uncle and his girlfriend visiting from Tennessee, and ate Christmas Dinner. All in all it was a nice day. A few weeks ago, we went to Santa's house and took pictures, I put those in here too.

Bowling Party for Isaac
Last Monday we hung out with a few friends at the Palm Springs Lanes for Isaac's birthday. We had a great time and so did Charlee. She LOVES to bowl!

The Big Birthday Surprise!
For about 2 months, Isaac thought on Wednesday, December 17 at 3:00pm, he had a doctor's appointment. Little did he know! On that morning, when he got into his car to go to work, he saw the CD player that had a note on it. "Please push play and have a great day!" He enjoyed listening to Metallica's new CD called Death Magnetic, all the way to work. While he was at work, Charlee and I were picking up a rental car......and packing her bags for Nana and Grandpop's house. At about 1:45 pm Isaac walked in the door and saw Charlee and I in Metallica shirts holding a plate with a piece of cake with a lit candle and an envelope that said CONFIDENTIAL written on it. Mom and Dad were also there video taping. We sang Happy Birthday to him which frazzled him since he birthday wasn't until the 23rd! ha ha. He blew out his candle, and opened the envelope to find 2 tickets to a METALLICA CONCERT!! (Our first one ever!) He was excited beyond words, especially that I had pulled this off with a rental car and all! We quickly got ready and off we went to the Forum in Los Angeles. Here are pics of our AMAZING night with James, Lars, Kirk and Robert :)

New Addition to Our Family
The morning after Thanksgiving, Isaac found this darling baby under my brother Seth's car. She had no where to go, and belonged to the neighborhood stray ( we soon found out) So we took her in to our home! Her name is Mai ( pronounced May) Her name means Dance is Japanese. It's been an adventure having a puppy in the house! But she is doing well, and Buggie has gotten used to sharing everything from the doorknobs down! haha. I have many other things to post, but no time since I work tonight. I've also given in to my freinds' requests and gotten a Facebook. We have been so busy with work and the Holidays and a full house! But we're doing great and are excited for Christmas! Hope everyone else is doing great!
