♥ Baby's First Dance Show ♥

Thanks so much to all our friends and family that showed their support for Charlee this last weekend. We are so proud of our baby girl! Seeing her twirl in her fairy costume and shake her little fanny in her penguin suit was so precious! For myself, this just marked the beginning of (what I hope to be) a beautiful journey through the art of dance :)

So..we found this Reindeer....

And we just couldn't resist!

Last Thursday, Nevaeh performed in a school Christmas Program. Her First Grade class sang Rudeolph the Red Nose Reindeer and It's A Small World. Unfortunatly the people placing the kids on stage were retarded and placed the short kids in BACK of the tall kids, so we didn't get any pics of her on stage. Take our word for it, they were all great! Afterward, we got to spend about 20 minutes or so with Nevaeh before heading home. We had a great time!

♥ Charlee's Candyland ♥

And the Slacker Mom of the Year award goes to.....Me. Sorry for the huge delay in Party Pics. Here they are.....knock yourself out :)

For those who weren't able to attend....her party theme this year was Candyland. NOT for the candy part, but because this was the game we played alll year long to help her memorize her colors :) The guests were encouraged to come dressed in their favorite color. We made a Welcome to Charlee's Candyland sign, had different colored streamers everywhere, "lollypops" (balloons) and candy hanging everywhere from the ceiling. For games, the kids decorated candy bags, made candy necklaces (fruit loops and yarn) and then played the "live" version of candyland in the backyard! We spray painted 72 washcloths and tacked them to the lawn in the shape of the board game. Family members dressed up as some characters and were placed throughout the board. The child picked a color square, then had to move to that square. Once they passed a character, the person gave them candy based on their village. (aka Ms. Mint gave a Candy Cane, Princess Lolly a lollypop, etc.) When they were done the game, they had a bag full of candy, so everyone "won" really. After the game, we had cake and opened presents. After all the mad clean up....we joined our friends at Yard House for dinner. Then they treated us to Yogurt Island! What an awesome party day! Charlee had sooo much fun and received some nice gifts and great company! We think she had too much birthday cause the next morning (her real birthday) she woke up with a 101.1 fever :( So we enjoyed the day relaxing on the couch watching movies...which is her favorite thing to do anyways so she had a great day! :) Thanks to EVERYONE who attended and helped us out. Hope you all had as much fun as we did :)
