The Plonski Family: April 2010

So much has happened just in the beginning of this month! I guess we'll start with Easter :) This year, I miraculously was off from BOTH jobs! So I actually got to see my family! (who da thunk??) The night before, the "Easter Bunny" did a midnight run after work to prepare for the morning. I don't know how my momma did it with 3 girls....I broke a bill just on my baby and my hubby! lol. Forget it, I went all out this year :) In the morning, both Charlee and Babeuh were surprised with Easter baskets. Charlee got 2 outfits and a dress, Princess and the Frog, a chocolate bunny, sidewalk chalk, and a book. Babeuh just got a Reester and Transformers 2 which was good enough for him! I treated myself to a new shirt and The Blind Side. (PRECIOUS movie!!) After baskets, we went to church with my family. Pastor Bob did great! It was nice having us all together. After church, we went to GG's for egg dying and lunch. Seth and Fran also met us at the house. We enjoyed spending time together decorating eggs, eating pizza and hearing all about Isaac's first clinical shift at Desert Hospital the day before. Shortly after lunch, we were stoked to experience a nice Earthquake!! It was Charlee's first one and she did great! After GG's, we had some chill time at home, then went out to Cheesecake Factory with Seth and Fran. Had a great time! Then we came home and watched The Blind Side. What a great family movie! So that was our day. Nice and relaxing :)

Few days after that, Charlee and I went to the park for a playdate. Due to warmth, we only stayed about an hour. The positive thing we got from this was some wicked cute pics, the bad thing, was pink eye for Charlee. Which was shortly accompanied by a high fever.....ugh! I HATE the park!!! She always comes home with something! So that's been fun. Staying home doing eye drops and watching movies. Thanks to all at work who have helped us out with covering shifts so we could stay home with Charlee :)

We have had a family trip to the races planned for a few months now. Due to scheduling conflicts and Charlee's health, we thought we were in for a bummer. However, I think this trip was supposed to happen because with little to no effort at all, both my shifts got covered, Charlee was fever free for more than 24 hours, and there were tix still available. So we took advantage of it and went to Formula D round 1 in Long Beach today! We haven't been in about a year, so it was soooo nice to be back :) All our fav drivers were there and it was nice to see a rookie from Norway get into the Final Four. It means there is hope for the underdog to get to the top :) What a chill day walking around, collecting car stuff and enjoying our fav drivers floating around on the track. We had the pleasure of bringing one of our good friends Kris with us! He'd never been to a drift event and thoroughly enjoyed himself! We're glad we could open your eyes to a whole new world Kris!

As for our family plan. We have once again, starting thinking about a new path to take. We are young, so we've got time right?! Isaac, after having a wonderful time in his EMT class, has decided the medical field might be better for him than Fire. So after much talk and research, we have decided to change our path to medical school. Isaac in good faith of passing his EMT class, will get a job as an EMT at a local hospital here to get him through his BA degree. (He's been told San Diego is a good place for medical students to be.) After his BA, he can attend med school for 4 years, and then intern for 3 years. His goal is to be an ER physician. In the mean time, I will be working at dancing and being a mommy. YES folks, Isaac agreed that during this time, we can try for 1 more baby! Adoption's been such a big goal, but the truth is, it's way too expensive. Until Isaac's a doctor, there's no way we can afford it. Charlee needs a sibling, so we will start trying after we get a little more stable transportation. So...that's the update for now. Stay tuned...... :)
